UTI Treatment for Women aged 16 to 65

If you have symptoms of a urinary tract infection (UTI) – such as burning when you pee, needing to go more often, or lower tummy discomfort – our pharmacists may be able to assess and treat you.

Who is this service for?

Women aged 16 to 65 years with symptoms of an acute uncomplicated UTI who are eligible for publicly funded health services in New Zealand.

What will it cost?

With a Community Services Card: consultation copayment of $5.

Without a Community Services Card: consultation copayment of $20.

Approved UTI medicines may be fully funded.

If your symptoms are more severe, keep coming back, or fall outside the service criteria, our pharmacists will refer you to your GP, urgent care, or another appropriate service.
